Iron Ore is amongst the top 5 most abundant minerals in Pakistan. There is an estimated 1.427 billion tons of reserve in Pakistan of various grades. Iron Ore has been found in Chiniot, Lahore, estimated reserves: 500 million tons, 60~65% of which are of high-grade iron ore. Kalabagh: approx. 350 million tons. Other reserves are in Nokundi, Haripur and other Northern Areas.
